the brief
A plectrum is a fancy name for a guitar pick. It is a vital accessory for any fluent musician
endowed with a string instrument, yet this tool alone cannot help keep time, it can’t decipher
intonation or jog the memory of complex chord progressions. Many instrumentalists are
limiting themselves by the physical aspect of their playing styles.
Plectrum is an application that aims to bring ease and accessibility to musicians by combining
the most used and needed accessories for casual playing. It's every musician's multitool!
DESIGN TRENDS
Most current designs for chromatic tuners and applications of
the like offer dark backgrounds, skeuomorphic or realistic assets,
and congested layouts. This makes it hard to navigate through the information and settle one's focus on a single point.
